Coconut – New Processed Food Product at India Pavilion at Summer Fancy Food Show 2010
Processed coconut products will for the first time feature in the range of Indian food product at Summer Fancy Foods Show at Javits Center, New York during June 27- 29, 2010. The promotion is being made by India Government’s Coconut Development Board.
The range of Indian food products in the promotion also includes gherkins (pickled cucumbers), honey, jams, pickles and biscuits of private label manufacturers. Exporters of Basmati rice- India’s exclusive strength, will have large presence as in the previous years with an extended range including organics and covering about half of the Indian pavilion.
India Pavilion is spread 4500 sq ft with the largest contingent of Indian food business coming under the banner of Agricultural and Allied Products Exports development Authority (APEDA).
India Pavilion is organized by India Trade Promotion Organisation- Government of India’s premier trade promotion agency.

India’s Successful Participation at National Hardware Show at Las Vegas, May 4- 6, 2010
Sixteen leading Indian producers of hardware, tools and house ware products had a successful exhibition at ‘India Pavilion’ at National Hardware Show- the leading annual international exposition for these products in USA taking place during May 4- 6, 2010 at Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas.

Texstyles India 2010- India’s Oldest Sourcing Event for Fabrics and Furnishing
Texstyles India 2010- India’s oldest and best known international sourcing event for fabrics, home furnishings, yarns and accessories took place from February 24 to 27, 2010 at Halls 12 and 12 A at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
The display provided the most comprehensive coverage of the Indian textile industry with the best companies in each field such as cotton, silk, wool, synthetics, powerloom, jute, blended and other fibres. Japan -Partner Country in Energy Tech 2009 and Enviro Tech 2009
Leading Japanese companies in the field of renewable energy and environment technology companies were present in Energy Tech and Enviro Tech 2009- the two trade shows being held for the second year at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi during December 11- 14, 2009. The Japanese display as ‘Partner Country’ was organised by Japan External Trade Organisation. The two shows organised by India Trade Promotion Organisation specifically aimed to bring overseas energy and environment related technology to India. With a growth scenario of 7% despite economic slowdown and large investments planned in these sectors- India offers foreign companies in these sectors some of the best opportunities for trade and investment .
The Government of India’s target of 90,000 MW Capacity in the 11th plan (2007-2012), translates into an annual addition of 18,000 MW. India’s total installed capacity is 145,554.97 MW. There is a peak shortage of 20,000 MW annually. As such, India requires an additional 100,000 MW of generation capacity by 2012 and huge capital investment of US$ 200-250 bn.
The show was of particular significance in view of Government’s active programme to promote renewable energy. Government of India have recently announced a target to generate 20 giga watts of Solar energy by the year 2022.

India at AAPEX 2009, November 3-5, 2009, Las Vegas Nevada USA
Indian companies had a successful show at Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) 2009, November 3-5, 2009 at Sands Expo, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA There were twenty one major Indian manufacturers of automotive products at the India Pavilion at the Show.
The display included a wide range of products including piston rings, piston rods, lights, switches, hose heaters, radiators, oil seals, valves, alternators, starter and parts, joints, shafts, tie rods, ignition systems, brakes transmission parts etc.
Among the prominent names in India Pavilion were Automotive Valves Pvt Ltd., Sun Auto Electric, Autoflex, KSC Engineers, Suzuki Engineers, Winner Bevel Gears, India Pistons, Alfa Instruments, Balaji Springs, Tristar International, Metal-I-Cast.
